Regular readers of Cafe Society know that Westword -- in conjunction with the Colorado Distillers Guild, the Colorado Bartenders Guild and the Museum of Contemporary Art -- has started the Colorado Cocktail project, an ambitious effort to craft the drink that perfectly captures our colorful state.
At 7 p.m. on Monday, February 7, an exclusive party kicking off the contest will be held at the MCA. This event is not open to public, but we're opening up a spot on the guest list for at least one lucky Facebook fan.
Here's how this easy weekend contest works:
Just become a fan of Cafe Society on Facebook and we'll pick one of our "fans" (and his/her guest) at random to rub elbows, network and B.S. over some local libations. And if you're already a fan of Cafe Society on Facebook, you're automatically entered in the contest. We'll contact the winner through -- what else? -- Facebook on Monday morning.
Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
