If you were hoping to attend tonight's vintage wine dinner at Le Central, 112 East Eighth Avenue, and don't have a reservation, you're too late: That event is sold out (but the restaurant does have a waiting list).

There are still some spots left at these two events, however:

Sicilian wine dinner atArugula Bar e Ristorante, 2785 Iris Avenue in Boulder. The five-course meal starts at 6:30 p.m. and costs $40, with an additional $29 for wine pairings; call 303-443-5100 to RSVP.

The Pink Patio Party at Elway's Cherry Creek, 2500 East First Avenue, runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Join sommeliers Todd Rocchio and Aaron Foster as they taste and evaluate twenty rose wines -- and help them choose the summer Elway's wine list. In addition to sips of rose, small plates will be available for snacking; call 303-399-5353 for more details.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
