During a couple of recent visits to Revelry Kitchen, which opened in the former home of Indulge French Bistro in West Highland last summer, Gretchen Kurtz was surprised to find both the place and the staff a bit on the sleepy side, which seemed contrary to the restaurant's name. But the menu, a mix of contemporary dishes and comfort food created by chef Enrique Socarras, was reason for celebration. "It was important to be Denver-centric, with food for the neighborhood, with its Mexican, Italian and American vibe," Socarras tells Kurtz in this week's review of Revelry Kitchen
. Photographer Danielle Lirette went behind the scenes to capture that vibe.
