Deerhunter Brought Controlled Chaos to the Gothic

Bradford Cox sported a cane last night at Deerhunter's show at the Gothic Theatre in Englewood, but it remained unclear whether the prop was needed or part of the band's off-kilter theatricality. According to Tom Murphy's review of the show, "Throughout the show you kept thinking Cox would actually finally come off the stage into the crowd but that never quite happened. The implied tension and anticipation gave the whole performance a disorienting dynamic that pulled you in and let you go at the right moment." All photos by Brandon Marshall.
