Community members lost to violence are emembered at this altar.

In response to recent spikes in gun violence in southwest Denver, the community gathered on October 3 at Offerings of Hope, before a community altar, to remember those who were lost. At 3 p.m. Sunday, October 4, a peace march will go from the altar at Huston Lake Park, 850 South Bryant Street, to Kepner Middle School, for more performances and the unveiling of a new mural representing the vibrant cultures of the neighborhoods. Denver City Council member Jamie Torres and other community leaders were on hand for the first day's events, which were organized by D3 Arts, Lifeline and other neighborhood groups.
