On June 27, thousands of people gathered in Aurora to protest the death of 23-year-old Elijah McClain, who was stopped by Aurora police officers last August as he walked home from a convenience store. Almost a year later, the case has attracted national attention, and Governor Jared Police has asked Colorado AG Phil Weiser to investigate.
