Once a year, revelers climb into the wayback machine for the 1940s WWII Era Ball, a swinging period-costume party and tribute to another time and place held annually at
Boulder Airport. A multi-generational crowd dressed up for the occasion, which included jitterbugging to live music, Frank Sinatra impersonations and classic airplanes doubling as romantic photo backdrops. All photos by Danielle Lirette.
