The Lantern Festival Shines On a Warm October Night

The Lantern Fest made its way through Denver for the third time on Saturday, October 15, 2016. Nearly 4,000 people let lanterns go in the warm night sky above the Colorado National Speedway, writing on the lanterns as a way of signifying cosmic wishes and new beginnings. Face painting, s'mores, food and games were also a part of the celebration. All photos by Miles Chrisinger.
