Dark Energy Pre Workout Review: The Real Reason Why It's Gone

Dark Energy (md 9)

Update April 2021: We've heard from numerous sources that the facility that produced Dark Energy has been raided, meaning it will no longer be made or sold.

You know we're massive fans of high stim and hard-hitting pre-workouts. The next best thing you're going to find is Wrecked Extreme by Huge Nutrition.

Dark energy is a pre workout that has been popping up all over the place, claiming to be one of the strongest stim junkie products out there.

Many mixed opinions on it caught my attention, and I wanted to experience what it was like. I managed to get a hold of a few samples through a buddy of mine and put it to the test.

Keep reading as I'm sharing my experience and a lot of other info in my Dark energy pre workout review.

What Is Dark Energy Pre Workout

Dark Energy is a high stimulant pre workout supplement sold and produced by Magnitude Life Sciences.

It became popular because it contained many potent compounds, including the prohibited stimulant 1,3-dimethylamylamine (DMAA).

This caused a massive hype, as nobody was selling it anymore after it got banned a few years back. I think that's the main reason why it got so popular; they took risks no one else did.

My Dark Energy Review

I'm keeping it short and sweet for you guys. I was pretty excited to try it out due to the many mixed reviews online.

I took Dark Energy just once, about 20 to 30 minutes before hitting the gym. The energy was average at best, which I think was mainly due to the caffeine (400mg per scoop).

I thought the people that said it didn't do much were crazy - I mean, look at the formula. Until I gave it a try myself and experienced moderate energy and focus.

I do have to point out that it gave me pretty solid pumps and the tingles, which is the only positive I can comment on.

It's not what I expected from a formula like this. My tolerance is pretty high, but it's been ages since I tried something with that combination of ingredients.

And what's even more frustrating, I felt fatigued once I finished my workout, and it wore off. It was hard for me to stay focused and keep up with the work I had to do.

So long story short, my first run with it was nothing special. It was a huge disappointment which made me not want to try it again.

What I recommend is to check out Wrecked Extreme instead. It's much more potent, has nearly 17 grams of ingredients, making it stacked.

Dark Energy Pre Workout Ingredients

This product has gotten a lot of attention and hype because of the ingredients; check them out in the image below.

As you can see, it contains the staple compounds in there, such as L-Citrulline at 6 grams, Beta-Alanine at 3,2 grams, but what really stands out are the stims.

It contains not only DMAA at 60mg but also a mind-blowing 200mg of DMHA. I've never seen that before, as combining simply be too much and cause adverse effects.

We also have Caffeine Anhydrous in there at 400mg per scoop, which is definitely above average. Most pre's are between 250 to 350mg per serving.

So you can definitely classify this product as a stim junkie pre workout with all these ingredients in there.

I'm still amazed at how many of us don't really feel what we're supposed to feel based on the ingredients. If you've tried this, let me know how it went for you as I'm curious to know how others felt.

Is Dark Energy Pre Workout Safe?

I wouldn't call Dark Energy safe because it combines DMAA, DMHA, and a massive amount of caffeine (400mg). If you're someone with a low tolerance to stimulants, this will not be a good time for you.

And even if you've built up a tolerance to stimulants, how can you know if this product contains the real stuff?

I mean, DMAA is a banned substance that was taken off the market years back. You can't add it into pre workout supplements, so who knows what they could be using.

We recommend steering clear from it, period. I've used it once and won't use it again.

Why Is Dark Energy Banned?

Dark Energy is a banned product because it contains 1,3-dimethylamylamine, otherwise known as DMAA. It's an amphetamine derivative that could be unsafe.

Therefore it was banned by the FDA several years ago. That means if it is added to a dietary supplement, you're crossing the line.

Can Dark Energy Cause Side Effects?

Dark energy can cause side effects if you don't know what you're doing.

As we've said several times, it contains incredibly potent stimulants that can cause adverse effects.

The primary side effect users get from taking this product is the crash after it wears off. This also happened to me, and I was unproductive and fatigued the entire day. That alone makes me not want to use it again.

Other side effects that have been reported are nausea, anxiety, headaches, and insomnia.

Even though we're no fans of Dark Energy, if you're dead set on taking it, be smart. That means you should take half a scoop to see how it affects you.

What Others Say About Dark Energy

Since Dark Energy has made quite a name for itself, many users have given it a try, and the experiences are all over the place.

I've seen many Dark energy pre workout reviews, and it's about 50/50 when it comes to people finding it effective.

Some people think it's all that and are convinced it's the best pre ever made.

But there are actually quite a lot of people out there that don't feel much from taking it. And, my experience was very similar, as mentioned earlier.

We're talking about a product that combines both DMAA, DMHA, and a relatively high amount of caffeine into one scoop - if you aren't feeling much, something is wrong.

That makes me question the contents of this pre workout and my concerns with it.

Should You Use The Dark Energy Pre Workout?

I guess if you've made it this far into the article, you'll know we won't recommend using Dark Energy.

Don't be mistaken; we absolutely love high stimulant pre's and the way they make us feel. What we don't like is products with prohibited substances that everybody has a different experience with.

But hey, that's just us. You're free to do what you want.

If you're looking for our recommendation on a stim junkie pre-workout that delivers extreme energy, focus, and whatnot, check out Wrecked Extreme.

It's formulated in collaboration with the Reviewbros, and those guys have literally tried hundreds of pre workouts. That includes all the underground products with a ton of stimulants in there.

Wrecked Extreme contains DMHA and plenty of other goodies, but it's not going to be around forever since it's a limited edition. Get it while you still can - click here to shop.

The Bottom Line

There are many pre workouts out on the market, but one that has gained a lot of attention was Dark Energy by Magnitude Life Sciences.

This is because it combined both DMAA with DMHA, making it exceptionally strong and even prohibited. Many users questioned its effectiveness, and I decided to put it to the test.

Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype for me, and I'm leaving it after just trying it once.

If you're someone that loves heavy and hard-hitting pre's, check out Wrecked Extreme (limited edition) while it's still available.

That's the kind of pre workout that gives me insane energy, a great sense of urgency, and next-level focus. I've had some of my best workouts while on the Extreme.
