Silvana Vukadin-Hoitt, who runs Silvana Mondo Gallery in the Berkeley neighborhood, shares the secrets of Bosnian baking and hospitality at the nearby Raleigh Street Bakery, owned by her friend David Kaminer. Starting with a simple dough of flour, oil and water, she creates a delicate, traditional pastry called zeljanica filled with spinach and cheese — all without a written recipe.
