PlatteForum ArtLab interns take a turn in the limelight on KBDI

What to do on a Sunday night, when perhaps you've pigged out all day at A Taste of Colorado or Rockabilly and Ribs? And, duh, you don't have to get up early the next morning? Switch on KBDI-TV/Channel 12 at 11 p.m. September 5 and be enlightened, when the locally produced program In Focus with Eden Lane showcases summer film projects created by ArtLab students at PlatteForum, where at-risk kids make art and bold statements with help from resident mentor/artists. This summer, the projects included a documentary Creativity = Life; tune in see what kids can do with a little inspiration. See a sample after the jump.

KEEP WESTWORD FREE... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we'd like to keep it that way. With local media under siege, it's more important than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
Susan Froyd started writing for Westword as the "Thrills" editor in 1992 and never quite left the fold. These days she still freelances for the paper in addition to walking her dogs, enjoying cheap ethnic food and reading voraciously. Sometimes she writes poetry.
