Owsley's Golden Road

In the spring of 2015, Jay Bianchi, owner of the Grateful Dead-centric bars Quixote’s True Blue and Sancho’s Broken Arrow, resurrected the Owsley’s Golden Road name in Boulder, seven years after opening a venue of the same name in Denver. Bianchi started booking shows at the Goose Bar on the Hill and in May turned the venue into Owsley’s Golden Road, named after famed LSD cook Owsley Stanley, who was also an early sound engineer for the Dead. Anyone who’s a fan of Bianchi’s other two spots will feel right at home at this 300-person venue.
