The menu at this strip-mall operation is a greatest-hits list of everything there is to love about Mexican street food, plus a few surprises (Mexican consomme?). But the best item is the torta: messy, dripping, delicious and offered in several variations, including the D.F., served either "combinación que usted quiera" or jamon -- sliced ham stacked on a grilled and lardy Mexican sandwich roll with chopped lettuce, avocado and a wet slurry of sauce made with smoky-hot chipotles and mayonnaise.
