Taj's ambience is perfectly balanced between formality and relaxation. You can wear jeans there, but the dining room boasts crisp tablecloths centered with little vases of carnations. The food is consistently and unpretentiously good, with a nice selection of breads baked in a clay oven of ancient design, mulligatawny soups and lots of vegetarian dishes. Our favorite entrees include the chicken tikka makhamal, the tandoori meats and the rich and creamy saags.
