Bad news: We've been holding off posting this until we had their replacement lined-up, but we just noticed several comments (which we've since deleted) on the original blog announcement from somebody, who clearly has inside access, breaking news we just got not too long ago ourselves. Nothing against those posters, it's just frankly, we'd prefer that you didn't find out that way. So here it is, straight from the horse's mouth: Unfortunately, due to scheduling conflict, Mudhoney will not be performing at this year's Westword Music Showcase. (We know, man. We're bummed, too!) Not to worry, though, we're working diligently behind the scenes right now trying to land somebody else that's just as cool (yes, we know, that's a gigantic order). Hopefully you won't be disappointed. We don't think you will be. Heck, man, we've still got Built to Spill, Meese, the Fluid and more than fifty of the best local acts around. Anyhow, more details as they become available. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
