Joe Sakic's retirement announcement scheduled for later today will no doubt spawn a bevy of salutes to the Colorado Avalanche captain and surefire first-ballot NHL hall of famer -- but few more unusual than the one on view here. The montage combines clips from Sakic's incredible twenty-year career -- even a fight is on view, his Lady Bing not withstanding -- with musical backing courtesy of Immortal Technique's "Leaving the Past."
