Years designing: Since high school

Bio: Nancy Sedar Sherman is a Denver native. Although she's lived in other exciting places, such as Sydney, Australia, New York and San Francisco, she always come back to Denver for the lifestyle, the mountains and family and friends.

Fashion has always been her means of creative expression. She started sewing in high school, moving on to pattern making and draping in college at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. She's made baby bibs, kids suspenders, painted sweatshirts, elaborate evening wear and everything in between. She has had her own business for the past twelve years, digitizing for other embroiders and specializing in high-end embroidery used in clothing and Judaica.

Her husband is a jewelry artist and sculptor, and she has fourteen-year-old twin boys who are students at Denver School of the Arts.

Denver celebrity you'd most like to design for? Angie Auston on Channel 2 weather. I like her sense of humor.
