Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.
With weather looking better this week, at least before afternoon storms roll in, it's the perfect weekend to roll out of bed and check out some of the restaurants on our list of the ten best brunches in Denver. If eggs and mimosas aren't you're thing, oysters and Anchorman-themed cocktails might do the trick; happy hour hunter Chris Utterback stopped by Angelo's Taverna to check out the raw and the cooked.
And while there was plenty of good international street food to be found at this week's Civic Center Eats, including Slavic specialties from Pavlo's Taste of Ukraine, it was what Gretchen Kurtz didn't find at Lo Stella Ristorante in the Golden Triangle that irked her — namely many of the ingredients the restaurant had run out of over several visits.
