Brandon's Pub has apparently evaded the Beauvallon curse...for now.
When the sports bar with the Mexican kitchen closed its doors last week, people thought that Brandon's Pub, located at 955 Lincoln Street, had succumbed to the same misfortune as many of its former neighbors, most recently Mr. Coco's. But according to owner Clemente Martinez, the closing is just temporary and Brandon's Pub is here to stay.
As Martinez explained it, after the restaurant's co-owner retired, he put the eatery on hiatus before taking on the task of sole ownership. "I wanted a week-long vacation before the changes," Martinez said. "We're planning to reopen this Friday. We're keeping our fingers crossed."
