When Pisco Sour closed on East Colfax Avenue last year, fans of the Peruvian restaurant weren't entirely out of luck; the closing just meant a fifteen-mile detour south to a newer Pisco Sour near Park Meadows Mall. The owners of 7 Leguas Mexican Grille don't want their customers to have to make such a long trek to their second location, though: They took over the old Pisco Sour spot and will soon open a second 7 Leguas just a couple miles east of the original.

The first 7 Leguas (not lenguas; the joint is named after Poncho Villa's horse) opened in 2012 at Colfax and Cherry Street; the new location will boast a dining room nearly twice the size of the current space, with a bigger bar and plenty of off-street parking. The owners expect to open by the end of summer.
