We heard earlier this morning that the Penalty Box Bar & Grill, 1862 South Wadsworth Boulevard, was slated to close its doors later this month.

But now we're wondering if "later this month" was code for "immediately."

Since yesterday, the phone number at the Lakewood sports bar has been disconnected and the website has gone down. The only indication of recent life is the spot's Facebook page, which called patrons to the bar for a birthday celebration on December 3.

If it looks like a closed restaurant, talks like a closed restaurant and walks like a closed restaurant... it's probably a closed restaurant.
