This week has been a melancholy one for Denver's restaurant scene, as both favorite old-timer Rosa Linda's Mexican Cafe and bold youngster Lower48 Kitchen announced they would be closing up shop in Lower Highland and Ballpark, respectively. And River North Brewing will pour its last beers this weekend in its namesake neighborhood, forced out by the wrecking ball — although at least beer production will continue in a new location.

But all was not bad news; an angel of mercy named Dos Santos Taqueria swept down and delivered Gretchen Kurtz to taco heaven — or at least chilaquiles enchantment. And Mark Antonation took a tour of three Mexican markets that also conceal taquerias within. In other news:
