As Jason Sheehan reported yesterday, sometime this summer Yanni Stavropolous will move Yanni's, his Greek taverna, from the strip mall at 2223 South Monaco where it's been for eighteen years to the Landmark development in Greenwood Village.
But not all of the equipment is making the move. The Squeaky Bean, Johnny Ballen's new restaurant at 3301 Tejon Street, is taking Stavropolous's rotisserie, and Ballen's already making room for it on the outdoor patio/herb garden that faces Tejon.
That's in addition to the 1,400 square foot garden that Squeaky Bean chef Max Mackissock is cultivating right behind Polidori Meat Processors, Denver's oldest sausage maker (and Squeaky Bean's neighbor) at 3327 Tejon Street.
Open just since Memorial Day, Squeaky Bean has already added weekend brunches to its offerings -- and hopes to expand to dinner later this month. Yes, beans will be on every menu -- and soon rotisseried meats will join the lineup as well.
