When we're working on the Best of Denver, we consider anything in metro Denver fair game -- when you're hungry, you don't draw the line at Hampden. But Aurora is proud of its restaurants, and yesterday Visit Aurora launched its first online voter's choice poll, Aurora's Eats & Drinks, to pick that city's favorites.

"Aurora is home to more than 250 independent restaurants, pubs, diners, markets, cafes and breweries," explains Gary Wheat, Visit Aurora president and CEO. "Many of these incredible and delicious restaurants are truly hidden gems that get no recognition outside of their own neighborhoods. One of our primary objectives with the Aurora Top Eats & Drinks program is to shine some light on these very-deserving Aurora businesses." The voting continues through March 11. The top ten vote-getters will receive bragging rights, premier placement on the VisitAurora.com "Places to Eat" page for one year, and a free promotional HD video produced by Visit Aurora and Aurora 8.

And to kick things off, Visit Aurora has identified 25 local favorites for the Eats & Drinks poll, including Armando's, A-Town Pizza, Cafe Paprika, Bliss Cupcakes, Cedar Creek Pub, Dry Dock Brewing, Chef Liu's, Dad & Dudes Breweria, Helga's, Jai Ho, Kim Ba, La Cueva and Emi-Lene's.
