The Year of the Dog is nearly upon us, and revelers got an early start by celebrating Chinese New Year at the McNichols Building on Friday, February 9. The festival was a fundraiser for the Nathan Yip Foundation; the cost of tickets and money raised through a silent auction will go toward educational programs in rural China. Costumes, dragons, Chinese art and that most traditional of Chinese New Year festivities, a silent disco, were all part of the fun.
