Chris Stapleton on stage at Fillmore Auditorium on May 5th, 2016. Stapleton performed two sold out nights.
Chris Stapleton, an established Nashville songwriter and the pen behind massive country-pop hits for Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan and many others, has stepped into the spotlight himself, and has been gathering awards and audiences with his debut solo album Traveller. Last night Stapleton played the first of two sold-out shows at the Fillmore Auditorium, which showcased his crack band, his duet partner and wife Morgane Hayes-Stapleton, and his big growling voice and soul-inflected take on country music. Anderson East opened the show. All photos by Brandon Marshall.
