Denver Dedicates New Rec Center on Colfax to Carla Madison

On January 8, Mayor Michael Hancock and Allegra “Happy” Haynes, executive director of Parks and Recreation, celebrated the opening of the new Carla Madison Recreation Center, the city's largest recreation center, at East Colfax Avenue and Josephine Street. It was named for late Denver City Councilwoman Carla Madison, who represented this district. All photos by Nicole Daniels.
