Even before Denver International Airport opened, conspiracy theories were taking off. Once it opened, its dooms-day themed art didn't help. On October 20, the airport embraced that suspicious reputation at a big costume bash. Invitees were encouraged to dress as their favorite conspiracy-themed characters.  “We decided to embrace it, since we could never convince people that there’s nothing nefarious about the place,” says DIA spokesman Heath Montgomery. “We could say it until we were blue in the face, so we’re just going to have fun with it instead.” Photos by Kenneth Hamblin III.
