The South is rising again — in a hot new restaurant neighborhood behind Union Station. Step off the train and onto the platform and the first thing you'll see is
Tupelo Honey, a new Southern belle hailing from Asheville, North Carolina that opens Tuesday, May 2. Sure, you'll find Southern favorites like fried chicken and shrimp and grits, but this is the food of the New South, with jaw-droppers like venison with foie gras dirty rice and a Moonrise Brunch served from 9 p.m. to last call. Here's a preview to get your mouth watering for next week's opening at 1650 Wewatta Street. All photos by Danielle Lirette.
