Penny, a female, red ruffed lemur at Denver Zoo.

It's spring, and we all know that means baby animals. Denver Zoo announced the birth of "Penny," a female, red ruffed lemur, which is classified as an endangered species, on May 18. A little farther south, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo recently introduced a new baby giraffe, which is also an endangered species. The calf is the 199th successful giraffe birth at the zoo since 1954.
