Independence Eve Celebration in Civic Center Park

Independence Eve Celebration in Civic Center Park

It was far from quiet in downtown Denver on the night before the Fourth of July – that's when folks from all over the city gathered for what's become a new Denver tradition: Independence Eve Celebration in Civic Center Park. Music by Funkiphino and the 101st Army Concert Band got the crowds in a patriotic mood in anticipation of an after-dark fireworks show over the red, white and blue-lit City and County Building. All photos by Philip Poston.
