All hail the return of one of Denver's
most iconic burger joints! The
Cherry Cricket reopened today after more than four months of rebuilding following a kitchen fire last November. Not much has changed — thank heaven — except for some fresh paint, updated bathrooms and a brand-new kitchen. Neighbors and longtime fans lined up for an 11 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony — and, of course, to get the first tastes of Cricket burgers and cold beers. Denver firefighters were also welcomed and honored for their efforts in saving the restaurant, which has grilled up some of the city's best burgers for more than seventy years.
