Copper Mountain celebrated Veterans Day Colorado style. The resort opened up the lifts for its 43rd season on November 11, 2015, and offered free lift tickets to all active or retired military and their dependents. Copper and other mountain towns are off to a slow start in terms of snowfall, due in part to dry weather, but the 2,465-acre mountain is preparing for heavy snow later this year with the impending El Nino.
