The Mobell family bought the Blue Bonnet, then a thirty-year-old bar with a name inspired by Texas, in 1968. Today it's a Mexican-food mainstay where lines can go out the door at lunchtime. The restaurant at 457 South Broadway will be celebrating its fiftieth anniversary from April 16 to April 22 with half-price specials.
