Is brunch simply a mid-morning meal on Saturday or Sunday? For some — like the attendees of BrunchFest, on Sunday, August 12, at Civic Center Park — brunch is a lifestyle and a frame of mind. The festival captured all the right elements: warm summer sun, cold booze, sweet and savory dishes drenched in syrup or topped with eggs, and — most important — the feeling that there's absolutely nothing better to do than while away the day with friends and family over good food and drinks.
