Eldora's first chair of the season departed just before 9 a.m.

The first skiers of the 2019/2020 season took to Eldora on Friday, November 1 — the earliest opening date the resort has seen in over two decades. That's thanks to three feet of snow from Colorado's late October storm, plus near-perfect snow-making conditions.

"The stoke level was high and smiles were everywhere," the resort declared in a statement.
