Supporters Rally Outside the Lyons Den Restaurant and Taphouse

On November 20, as counties across Colorado moved into Level Red, restaurants in those counties were ordered to close their dining rooms. Most complied; the Lyons Den Restaurant and Taphouse did not. On December 7, the Lyons Board of Trustees voted unanimously to temporarily suspend the Lyons Den's local liquor license and its business license, because the eatery had continued serving customers inside the restaurant. But on December 13, supporters rallied for the Lyons Den. "It's sad that they're attacking the bar and restaurant industry," said co-owner Denise Yarbrough. "A lot of other states are open. Thousands of businesses have closed because of the 'scamdemic.' Where are all those people going to go to get jobs? The government hasn’t extended unemployment benefits. They’re not doing anything about it. I want answers."
