Service-Industry Peeps Get a Holiday With the Monkey Barrel Survivors Ball

The Monkey Barrel hosted its Service Industry Survivors Ball on Sunday, January 7, 2018.
While weekday workers were winding down their weekends, service-industry types finally got the party they earned by putting up with customers through another holiday season. The Monkey Barrel (4401 Tejon Street) hosted its Service Industry Survivors Ball, with free-flowing Jameson Irish whiskey, music from Blink 90210 and good times for cooks, servers and bartenders alike. But if everyone was a guest, who was serving the servers? Not to fear: Monkey Barrel owner Jimmy Nigg took care of everyone. All photos by Kenneth Hamblin III.
