Splash and Dash 5K Freezes Runners For a Good Cause

1 of 68
Runners braved the cold to raise money for Special Olympics Colorado at the Splash and Dash 5k at CIty Park. Originally meant to combine a polar plunge with a run, organizers switched out the dip for an ice bucket challenge due to structural problems with their pool. More than 800 people turned up for the event, which brought in more than $160,000. All photos by Ken Hamblin.
