Andrew Novick's X-treme Pancake Breakfast
Visitors to the Denver County Fair get far more than just a view of the largest homegrown tomato or the award-winning backyard chicken. This year saw another serving of the X-Treme Pancake Breakfast, from Denver collector-of-things and kung-foodie Andrew Novick. Pancake batter provided by Village Inn, City, O' City and Watercourse was griddled up and heaped with weird toppings — pickled cactus and toasted crickets, anyone? — for kids and adults to enjoy. It was breakfast-as-art to satisfy an eclectic crowd. All photos by Danielle Lirette.
