Whole Foods Union Station, opening Wednesday, November 15, is a symbol of the transformation of the neighborhood between Union Station and the train tracks, which for decades was relegated to industrial and heavy commercial use. Now chic hotels and expensive apartment towers loom over streets still clogged with construction, but the arrival of the high-end grocery chain marks a turning point. We don't even know what to call the area yet, but it is quickly becoming a major residential and entertainment hub. Here's a look inside the new Whole Foods Market during last night's pre-opening festivities. Even the governor and mayor were impressed enough to show up!
