Work is almost done on a stage expansion and the installation of massive new LCD screens.
Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre will reopen this weekend with a concert that's free for firefighters, policemen and other first responders and public servants. Most of the work has been completed on a $6 million renovation overseen by AEG Live, which now operates the venue. Changes include new buildings, widened pathways and dramatically improved sound. Photographer Eric Gruneisen was there on May 20, when construction was nearing a close on most of the major overhauls. Note that the work is ongoing -- what you see here is not what you'll see this weekend, and changes will continue throughout the summer concert season.
