Attendance was down at yesterday’s Race for the Cure in downtown Denver, with crowd estimates of around 30,000, as opposed to approximately 40,000 in 2012 and 50,000 in 2011. The reason, presumably is continuing fallout from the (since-reversed) decision by Susan G. Komen for the Cure to end its partnership with Planned Parenthood last year. But the event still drew a throng of folks to the area near the Pepsi Center in order to raise funds for fighting breast cancer, and to celebrate and/or remember those afflicted with the disease — and the weather couldn’t have been more Colorado-gorgeous. Get a glimpse of the gathering via the following gallery from the Denver Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure Facebook page.
