Food for Thought

The most generous people in this town may well be restaurateurs and chefs, who are always volunteering their time, services and good food for good causes. Tonight's Straight from the Farmer's Market will benefit Gilda's Club Denver, and the food will be very good indeed, since the five chefs making the dishes (and showing how they do it before they serve them) will be Elise Wiggins of Panzano, Adam Mali of Montecito, Antonio Race of Pulcinella, Tyler Wiard of Elway's and Michael Bortz of Paradise Bakery. Each course will come with an appropriate wine pairing explained (and provided) by Mark Price of Platinum Beverage. Pat Miller, the Gabby Gourmet herself, will emcee the delicious proceedings, which run from 6 to 9 p.m. in the state-of-the-art stadium kitchen of co-sponsor Roth Distributing, at 17801 East Avenue in Aurora. Tickets are $75 each; to buy them or get more information on this gourmet grubfest, go to www.gildasclubdenver.org or call 303-214-1400.
Wed., Aug. 15, 6-9 p.m.
