Most people don't need any more encouragement to play hooky and go skiing. But if you do, this Thursday, January 14, Loveland ski area and 95.7 radio have teamed up to promote "Ski Hooky" day.

Those who who are 21 and over can sign up to be Party V.I.P.'s and get a $15 lift ticket for the day. There will be free prizes and concert tickets given away, and one lucky hooky player can win a Coors/Never Summer snowboard.

Be smart and go with a friend who can be a designated driver and take advantage of the $2.25 Coors Banquet and Coors Light offered from noon to 5:00, though be nice to the Loveland Ski Patrol and wait till you're finished with your skiing before tying one on.

This ought to be good practice for those days when you really need to play hooky later in the year when the epic powder days hopefully arrive.
