Denver has been known to inspire conspiracy theories, whether about the airport, sasquatch or JonBenét Ramsey. But it has also come to the attention of a particular content creator in the country of Georgia.
The Mile High City makes an appearance in the 77th episode of Skibidi Toilet, the YouTube series created in 2023 by Alexey Gerasimov via his channel, DaFuq!?Boom!. The installment continues the series' dystopian narrative about a post-apocalyptic war between the skibidi toilets — toilets with human heads that have taken over the world — and an alliance of humanoid-robot hybrids, often with tech equipment for heads.
The episode begins in New Zealand, filmed from a first-person POV similar to a shooter video game, before showing wars around the world. The "Denver" shown is covered in debris and flames, with a giant toilet flipped over in the street in front of a very inaccurate skyline closely surrounded by large mountains. A cathedral surrounded by pines is abruptly exploded by a grotesque creature flying on a drone before more violence ensues.
The entire 25-minute episode comes across as a demented trip on a hero's dose of acid. It's confusing — and somewhat terrifying? Brutal violence wrought by gruesome human heads mounted on aircraft wouldn't really be my cup of tea in early elementary school, which makes up the show's main audience. But if you have a kid or have been in a kid's orbit since last year, you know the word "skibidi" is as irritatingly omnipresent as its meaning is ambiguous.
If you want to watch Denver's debut as an apocalyptic-fight setting, take a gander. And who knows? Maybe the Skibidi Toilet base has really been at Denver International Airport this whole time.
