Interested in making a career out of video and photo journalism? Westword is looking for a good student multimedia intern for spring of 2014. The position is unpaid, and candidates must be able to get college credit for their work. To apply, send a résumé and clips to email@example.com
Multimedia interns will work with the editors, writers, and art director at Westword to create videos to accompany print and online-only reportage; they'll be expect to create two short segments per week, as well as two longer projects over the course of a semester-long internship. They'll also need to have their own equipment and transportation, though we can provide some accessories. (We'll reimburse for mileage and other expenses incurred while on assignment.)
Knowledge of Apple Final Cut Pro X and Compressor is a must, as are excellent communication and time-management skills; knowledge of other video-editing software is a plus, but not required.
