Has the the Best of Denver curse struck again? Every year, soon after the issue comes out (and sometimes while it’s still on the press!), we hear that one of our picks has closed. Already gone is our Best Breakfast Under $2 in the Best of Denver 2011; Gordo Loco closed early this month.
And now it looks like our Best Indian Restaurant may have bitten the dust. Mirch Indian Grill, which brought not just authentic Indian cuisine to the southern suburbs last year, but authentic Indian street cuisine, appears to have closed both the Greenwood Village and Littleton locations.
A Cafe Society reader alerted us to the closures: “Went today, 4/26/11 to BOTH locations and they seem to be closed (permanently)?? The location in Park Meadows has wires hanging out where the TVs were but did not go to the door of the Belleview location to see if the same thing happened there. No notice on the door, no thank you to those of us who had frequented…….nothing…..”
We get nothing when we call the numbers of the two spots, and an e-mail to the Mirch office gets just this automatic response: “We strive to provide exceptional customer satisfaction and will respond to your email as soon as possible.”
