It looks an outpost of the ever-expanding, locally-run Santiago’s Mexican food restaurant chain will take over an Aurora spot that has seen quite a bit of turnover. The address, at 10400 East Sixth Avenue, was most recently home to El Rico Dicho Menuderia Y Taqueria, a quirky Mexican restaurant that paid tribute to El Chapulín Colorado, a Spanish-language TV series that parodied superheros.

But El Rico closed in March. Before that, the building was home to Tao Tao Noodle Bar, a stellar Chinese joint famed for its xiao long bao, and Pho Havana before that. The address, however, is probably most famous as the site of Chef’s Noodle House, which held down the corner for fifteen years.
