Chef Silvia Andaya has run South Broadway's Adelitas Cocina y Cantina for years, bringing in hordes for Taco Tuesday and dishes from her native Michoacán. Andaya opened this spot in the Wash Park neighborhood in summer 2022 to spotlight one of her signature dishes: molcajetes. The menu also has plenty of tacos and a selection of 25 to 30 mezcals as well as tequila (though for the full agave spirit experience, it's hard to beat La Doña, the mezcal-focused bar attached to Adelitas and also owned by Andaya). Other plans include frozen cocktails served on the patio, libations made with fresh-pressed juices, and Mexican charcuterie.
